Business terms in Knowledge Accelerators

The Knowledge Accelerators use business terms in a range of different roles, across the provided vocabulary. The details of their use are described in the sections on each component.
In general, business terms conform to the following characteristics:
- The name and description is business meaningful.
- The name is unique across the full Knowledge Accelerator vocabulary, with the exception being the Industry Alignment Vocabularies, where the same name might be reused for terms relating to different standards or regulations.
- All terms have at least one tag assigned.
- All terms conform to a standardized set of patterns in relation to how they are related to other terms and categories.
- Some terms come with examples of possible data quality checks. For example, in Knowledge Accelerator for Cross Industry, the business term Date Of Birth, has the
completeness check and data class check.
